Soccer Camp Memories...

When your child excels at a sport, you want to give them every chance to improve even more.  Challenger Sports offers a British soccer camp through the YMCA.  We missed it last year, so I was all over it this year - registering early and then telling everyone else about it.  I think I was more excited than even Owen.  The camp sends a group of coaches from the UK and they spend a week in each city with a host family.

Ours was their first week in "America"  - poor guys got sunburned right of the gate!  (I tried to convince Jim that we should let the two cute ones come home with us and keep them for our very own!  Jim didn't think this would be as sweet as I did - LOL!)

Here are Owen and Jaxon during a water break...

I think because these were college-age coaches, our kids listened to them all the better.

Tuesday was Mystery Fruit Day - the kids brought in fruit for the coaches to taste and guess at.  The coaches that guessed right, won points for their team.  Wednesday was Wacky Wednesday, Friday was flag day (bring a drawing for your team's flag) and World Cup Day.  The teams played each other and Team Ireland won with the only goal scored by Owen!  Can I get a whoop whoop?

We will definitely do this again next summer!
